An insight to our interior designing: A Walawwa Experience awaits you.

Our existence in Colombo is to shed some light to the “Sri Lankan Culture”. We seek to be the epitome of the Sri Lankan Culinary world in Colombo. As the name speaks for itself Culture Colombo is geared to create a memorable Sri Lankan food dining experience through their food and the ambience, interior and service.

The take on Sri Lankan restaurant interior at culture Colombo is homely, down-to-earth and brings in that subtle Sri Lankan Walawwa experience. Our interior is a combination of the furniture, ornaments used to bring in the Lankan influence and the warm hospitality and attire of our staff. It is also the aroma of fresh produce that is delivered to your table. The experience we tend to give you at culture Colombo is wholesome. We aim to fulfill all 5 senses of a human through a simple yet tactfully curated experience.

“Walawwa” is the Sinhala term for a mansion or a manor house. It is not the luxurious elegance that we try to bring out but the humble, vintage Sri Lankan interior. It is designed and curated for our customers to reminisce the olden day Sri Lankan household while dining with us. We would also like to call it a combination of colonial (influenced by the beautifully blending in mural wall), modern and Sri Lankan but the beauty of this cultural infusion is that the food sets the tone to it all.

We aspire to provide all our customers a memorable experience and we focus on the intricate details. Come dine with us at Culture Colombo to catch a glimpse of the cultural fusion that this little island offers. As often complimented by our regulars we take pride in the humble Sri Lankan dishes prepared just for you. Being in the heart of Colombo gives our customers the possibility and easy access to drop-in anytime they want to try out a home-cooked Sri Lankan meal but away from home.

This is what we want to offer you. An Honest, Humble and a Deliciously Sri Lankan experience that you can always recall being the closest to home.
